Since 2007, SACO has been a trusted partner of FedEx Express in the development and enhancement of its air cargo handling systems at Liège Airport (LGG). Over the years, we have worked closely with FedEx Express to deliver cutting-edge solutions that optimise cargo operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and streamlined handling of Unit Load Devices (ULDs).

Our collaboration has spanned numerous projects, with the most recent completed in November 2023. This latest installation introduced a **manual ULD bypass system** at the FedEx facility, designed to facilitate smooth cargo transfer between landside and airside operations. This system includes manual reload and offload positions adjacent to existing powered roller decks, improving flexibility and workflow within the facility.
Through each phase of this long-standing partnership, SACO has delivered reliable, customised systems that meet the evolving needs of FedEx Express, ensuring their Liège hub remains a key player in global cargo logistics.

SACO is proud to partner with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in the development of an advanced Unit Load Device (ULD) handling system at their new facility at Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD), Spain. The primary objective of this project is to ensure the safe and efficient handling of ULDs within this state-of-the-art facility, which has direct airside access.
