SACO Airport Equipment appoints Glenn Ignacio as new Director Sales & Projects
SACO Airport Equipment, part of the SMA Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn Ignacio as its new Director Sales & Projects.
lenn brings extensive international experience in corporate strategy, business development, digitalisation and organisational transformation within globally operating industrial and technology-driven organisations. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with executive leadership teams on long-term growth strategies, Industry 4.0 developments and international transformation projects.
Most recently, Glenn led the restructuring of a globally focused digital business department consisting of approximately 200 employees. Prior to this, he played a key role in developing and coordinating corporate strategy at board level within an multinational industrial organisation.
Earlier in his career, Glenn was responsible for the development of Smart Industry, IoT and automation business activities across seven European countries. His strong combination of strategic thinking, commercial leadership and digital transformation expertise aligns closely with SACO’s ambitions for the future.

At the same time, SACO confirms that Hans van Schaik will remain actively involved within the commercial organisation in his role as Major Accounts Manager. After more than 22 years at SACO, Hans will continue to play an important role within the sales team and will remain the trusted point of contact for the many customer relationships he has built over the years. His extensive industry knowledge, long-standing customer relationships and experience within the air cargo handling market remain of enormous value to both SACO and its global customer base.
